Ham radio enthusiasts from the planet Korendor.*

*Do not confuse Korendor with Coriander, also known as cilantro or Chinese parsley, an annual herb in the family Apiaceae.

Coriander is native to regions spanning from southern Europe and northern Africa to southwestern Asia. It is a soft plant growing to 20 inches tall. The leaves are variable in shape, broadly lobed at the base of the plant, and slender and feathery higher on the flowering stems. The flowers are borne in small umbels, white or very pale pink, asymmetrical, with the petals pointing away from the center of the umbel longer than those pointing toward it. The fruit is a globular, dry schizocarp. The seeds are generally used as a spice or an added ingredient in other foods or recipes, although sometimes they are eaten alone.

But truly, Korendians and Korendor have nothing to do with Coriander. I mean they like it just fine but they get tired of the confusion. It's an easy mistake.

Korendor is the third planet in a solar system consisting of 12 planets circling the star Korena, which is a star in the Bootes constellation, near Arcturus. Korena is 400 light years away from Earth. Whereas Coriander seed is a spice in garam masala and Indian curries which often employ the ground fruits in generous amounts together with cumin, acting as a thickener in a mixture called dhana jeera.

As the axis of Korendor is less tilted than here on Earth, the seasons are less pronounced there. They have many tropical rainforests. They use no animal-products, much like Paul McCartney. The Korendians grow fruit in abundance. But not apples. They have to come to Earth for apples. Also on Earth - Coriander. Like other spices, coriander is available throughout the year providing a fragrant flavor that is reminiscent of both citrus peel and sage.

The fruit of the coriander plant contains two seeds which, when dried, are the portions used as the dried spice. When ripe, the seeds are yellowish-brown in color with longitudinal ridges. Coriander seeds are available whole or in ground powder form. But there really is no connection between Coriander and Korendor & the Korendians.
